St. Patrick's Day Limos - Get on your..GREEN

It 's great to be green
Even it is just for a day, Metro Detroit celebrates Irish Heritage

There is a lot of truth in the saying " Everyone wants to be Irish on St. Patrick's Day" A lot of folks without a drop of Irish in them will wear a splash of green Monday, chug a Guinness in lieu of the morning Starbucks and feast on corned beef and cabbage. This unoffical holiday is brim with folklore from shamrocks and leprechauns, from wearing green clothes and getting pinched if your'e not.

On Sunday, March 16th the 50th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, sponsored by the United Irish Societies, will travel along Michigan Avenue in Corktown. The parade's route bears a historical significance since thousands of immigrants from Ireland, specifically Coutry Cork, made a home in this neighborhood. This celebrates what it's like to be green.
